About the Filmmaker

(she/her) is a Brooklyn-based Puerto Rican filmmaker who was born and raised in Bushwick. She is the writer, director, and editor of “Down The Avenue.” In her youth, Victoria attended DCTV's Pro-TV Media Fellowship. After completing the program, Victoria returned to Pro-TV to work as a Teaching Assistant. She volunteered at the Bushwick Film Festival as a SocialMedia Intern before attending SUNY Purchase College where she earned her BFA in filmmaking. Victoria primarily focuses on the stories of low-income working-class families, and growing up in NY. Presently, Victoria works at Sesame Workshop as an Assistant Editor. She helps with content supporting mental health and emotional well-being initiatives by spreading awareness and coping strategies for preschool-aged children. She has also worked as an Assistant Editor for seasons 53-55 of Sesame Street.
