FILMMAKER

David Liu is a director and producer from the San Gabriel Valley region of LosAngeles. He is a recipient of the Mary Pickford Endowment, the CAPE NewWriters Fellowship sponsored by NBCUniversal, and Visual Communications’Armed with a Camera Fellowship for Emerging Media Artists. He received his BA in political economy from UC Berkeley and worked as a journalist and paralegal before earning his MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where he co-directed a feature film for James Franco’s Elysium Bandini Studios and produced the Warner Bros.-funded episodic feature SAMIR.
